  • High server load on gateway: The payment gateway experienced heavy traffic, delaying transaction responses.
  • Unoptimized request handling: Large or complex requests took too long to process, leading to timeouts.

Troubleshooting and Solutions

  • Ask the customer to retry the payment after a short wait.
  • If this issue is related to a specific payment method, recommend that customers use a different payment method.
  • Contact Chargebee Support to validate the timeout configurations.
